The School of Engineering and Applied Science is set to host SCUDEM III 2018, a student competition on Differential Equation Modeling, on October 27, 2018, and a Faculty Development Workshop for incorporating differential equations and modeling in teaching. SCUDEM is an international competition organised by the New York-based nonprofit SIMIODE for undergraduate and high school students. The challenges have practical context in areas ranging from Biology and Social Sciences to Sports and Computing.
